Meet the slate of four running for SMMUSD School Board this November! ABF invites parents and residents to our community event on Saturday September 17th 4-7pm at 1333 3rd St Promenade. Meet ABF endorsed candidates Angela DiGaetano, Stacy Rouse, Esther Hickman and Miles Warner. This is a family friendly event with live music, food and entertainment for the kiddos.

ABF’s Civic Engagement Workshop series has proved so popular that we will be holding another one on Saturday May 21st.

This workshop will provide the tools on how to create a positive change in your community. Perhaps you’ve thought about running for local office and want to know more about what that entails or perhaps you want to become more civically engaged. Come and learn how you can make a difference and ensure a brighter future for your city, schools and community.

• Kevin Shenkman, Voting Rights Attorney. Parent of 4 students in SMMUSD public schools.

• City Council Member Oscar De La Torre, 18 years elected official on SMMUSD School Board and current elected official on Santa Monica City Council. Parent of 2 students in SMMUSD public schools.
